What personal data do we collect?

Customer data

To provide our services, we process information that genuinely helps us deliver them. Where you ask us to process payment for goods or services by debit or credit card, we process those details only for that purpose.

Supplier data

We collect the minimum data needed to process transactions. This includes contact details for the main contact and associated contacts who help process transactions. Where it forms part of our contractual arrangement, we also require bank details so that we can pay for services provided.

Subcontractor data

We collect and store information needed to meet contractual obligations. This includes personal and business email addresses, telephone numbers, address details, bank account details, qualifications and insurance information.

End-user data

Who do we share personal data with?

Customer data

Subcontractor data

Where a subcontractor carries out work on Jackson’s behalf at a customer site, we may provide their personal data to the customer so the customer can complete its internal processes. Where requested, this may include photographic identification.

When entering a contractual agreement, we pass the minimum personal data necessary to a supplier or subcontractor so they can meet their contractual obligation to us.

Details obtained through our website are not processed outside Jackson Plumbing & Heating (Contractors) Ltd. Any information used to process and target specific information is handled through a Jackson-managed system.

How do we safeguard personal data?

We put appropriate measures in place to prevent unauthorised access to and misuse of personal data. These measures include encrypted server access, encrypted laptop devices, current antivirus protection, and monitored gateway security settings.

How long do we keep personal data?

CRM data

If we have not had meaningful contact with you for five years, we remove personal data from our systems unless another legal, contractual or processing requirement requires us to retain it.

Printed and digital project information

Because of the nature of our business, we may store project information for up to 12 years. This allows us to recall previous project information if a customer requires it.

Access, amendment and withdrawal
